Keyboardist Liz Durette will perfom a program of works by Francois Couperin, from his unmeasured preludes, masses, and Pièces de clavecin on our historic Estey organ.
Liz Durette is an artist and musician based in Baltimore, MD. Her new album of Rhodes improvisations, titled Four Improvisations, is out on vinyl now. She will perform a concert of her own compositions on the evening of Thursday, September 8th: Elegy for Harold Budd + Original Pipe Organ Music by Liz Durette.
Critical acclaim:
“Liz Durette, a Rhodes player from Baltimore, is the musician who today most embodies the bold possibility of the instrument. She plays solo, and her recent album Four Improvisations is lovely, devoid of anything other than pure worship of what the instrument can do.” -Matthew Schnipper, Pitchfork
