Epsilon Spires is a center of communication, illuminating the relationships between
creative arts, natural sciences and sustainability using multimedia platforms.
As a Vermont-based 501c3 non-profit, we build connections between art and science through providing interactive art installations that experiment with sound, light and sensory perception. Our programming seeks to promote inquiry and encourage civil discourse by addressing current topics through the integration of diverse forms of expression.
The unique acoustics of the historic Sanctuary serve to showcase cutting-edge international and local performances, films with live soundtracks and thought-provoking lectures.
Our intimate salon-style venue: Social Engagement offers participatory workshops and weekly screenings of documentaries and rarely-seen films. This space also exists as an incubation lab for interdisciplinary artists to perform and experiment with developing ideas.
The second and third floors have recently been refurbished as working artist studios.
Opened in September 2019, Epsilon Spires contributes innovative art exhibitions, multimedia events and open studios with resident artists to every Brattleboro First Friday Gallery Walk.
Our name combines a reference to the iconic architectural structure of the building, and Epsilon, which when applied in physics can be understood as "pushing the envelope".
