Working with the community, artists Mary Lacy and Corrine Yonce will co-create a large-scale mosaic mural in Pliny Park in Brattleboro this June. This mosaic will share our collective story through embedded objects donated by the public to be incorporated into the finished piece!

About the event
Meet the Artists for the Pliny Park Mosaic Project and envision what's possible at this brainstorming & co-creation event!
In June, award-winning collaborative artists, Corrine Yonce and Mary Lacy will be creating a large-scale public mosaic in Pliny Park at the corner of High St and Main St. This mosaic will share the collective story of the surrounding community through embedded objects donated by the public to be incorporated into the finished piece: tiles, plates, beads, buttons, small toys, mirrors, plastic letters, and other personal trinkets (that will withstand weather). The memories and personal meanings embedded within these objects will host a conversation among neighbors and strangers and create a sense of collaboration, intimacy and discovery within our shared public space.
Come meet the artists, learn about their creative practice, their friendship, and how you can participate in the upcoming mosaic project! The event will begin at 5:30. Refreshments provided!
