About the event

Epsilon Spires is proud to present The Female Imagination of the Global South: Film Screening and Q&A in collaboration with In Situ Polyculture Commons

A visceral dive into the myths, dreams, and archetypes that live in the female imagination of the global south, from the darkest to the brightest. Both directresses explore themes such as gender and racial violence, pleasure, sexual abuse, freedom, power, and motherhood. Within our contemporary context of a neo-liberal patriarchal society, the film explores how such human experiences have shaped our collective unconscious nonlinearly since the dawn of civilizations and prehistoric times. 

Following the Screening, we invite the audience to participate in a 40 min Q&A with the directresses Guta Galli and Jessica Fertonani Cooke.  7:40pm: Doors Open with Refreshments - 8 pm: Film Screening- 9 pm: Artist Q&A. Mature Audiences Only.

    Admission for one to Female Imagination of the Global South: Films + Artist Q&A Following the Screening, we invite the audience to participate of a 40 min Q&A with the directresses Guta Galli and Jessica Fertonani Cooke. 7:30pm: Doors Open with Refreshments - 8 pm: Film Screening Begins- 9 pm: Artist Q&A.
