About the event

AFTER BLUE (Dirty Paradise).

In a faraway future, earth has been abandoned and humanity has settled on After Blue – a wild and untamed planet inhabited exclusively by women. A lonely teenager named Roxy (Paula Luna) unknowingly releases Kate Bush, a mystical, dangerous, and sensual criminal from her prison. Roxy and her hairdresser mother Zora (Elina Löwensohn) are banished from the colony, into the wilds to track down the murderer. Armed only with Gucci rifles and Paul Smith pistols, the mother-and-daughter will encounter alien sights they could never have dreamt of in their wildest fantasies. The newest vision from Bertand Mandico (The Wild Boys) plays like a lesbian El Topo (in outer space!) with stunning 35mm in-camera practical effects and an otherworldly set design.

"Featuring an utterly mesmerising score from Pierre Desprats and cinematography that frees the imagination in its wildest forms" – Evrim Ersoy

Before the Film will be an Interactive Dance Performance of "Wuthering Heights" by the Kate Bush Society of Western Massachusetts! Come dressed in red to participate and receive free entry into a raffle for exciting prizes!

Wear red and dance together to celebrate Kate Bush's 1978 hit 'Wuthering Heights'! No prior experience required, the Kate Bush Society troupe will teach the dance. This past July 30, 2022 on Kate Bush's Birthday, Looky Here Gallery in Greenfield, MA. participated in the global 'The Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever #TMWHDE (Started in Brighton UK in 2017). and it was so much fun! All around the world on 7/30 everyone similtaniously danced the dance.

Here are two articles about the event: before and after... We'd love for you to join us with a mini recreation of TMWHDE à la Epsilon before the film After Blue  (where "Kate Bush" is the antagonist!). It will be both guilish and beautiful!

"Sometimes, a new film gets a relevancy boost from its similarity to recent events, or an echoing—conscious or unconscious—of a certain national mood. “After Blue (Dirty Paradise)” gets it from a needle drop. French director Bertrand Mandico’s new exercise in psychedelic sci-fi maximalism has a villain called “Kate Bush,” whose name is repeated about a hundred times over the course of the film. And it just so happens to be hitting American theaters the same week as the real Kate Bush notched an unexpected #1 on iTunes after the use of “Running Up That Hill (A Deal with God)” in the 2022 season of “Stranger Things.'"- Katie Rife, Rogerebert.com
