About the event
Please bring a wrapped gift that is either nice, useful, funny, or homemade and play BINGO to win a surprise that someone else has offered. This party is an opportunity to rehome any christmas gifts or unusual objects that may serve someone else better, while socializing with new friends. Perhaps good fortune will prevail and you win something you absolutely needed and adore! Light refreshments that are traditional for celebrating Epiphany will be served. All-ages are welcome. You can come join the games anytime during the event, we recommend registering in advance so we can prepare to have enough Bingo supplies for everyone. Thanks!
About Epiphany:
In many practices around the world, the official end to the Christmas holiday occurs on Jan. 6. Known as Epiphany, or Threee Kings Day. One of the three principal and oldest festivals of the Christian church (the other two being Easter and Christmas), it commemorates how a star led the Magi, or the three kings or wise men, to the baby Jesus to bestow their blessings and gifts including Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh. In Italy these festive celebrations also include La Befana, a benevolent broom-riding witch who delivers sweets to good children, in a nod to continued Roman cultural influence.
